As part of our ongoing efforts to support and promote local arts and cultural heritage, we are pleased to announce that the Singapore Chinese High School Board of Directors has loaned out 16 acclaimed paintings to the “Treasures of Our Schools: From Cheong Soo Pieng to Lim Tze Peng” special exhibition that will be held from 31 May to 30 June 2024 at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.
This exhibition showcases rare works by renowned artists, including Chen Wen Hsi, Liu Kang, Chua Ek Kay, and Ho Ho Ying, and they chronicle how art has evolved in Singapore from the 1950’s to date. The exhibits are culled from treasured collection held by various schools, from Hwa Chong Institution, Catholic High, Chung Cheng High, Dunman High, to Nanyang Girls’ High.
