A visit to a hawker centre is more than just a culinary journey. It is a window into the vibrant multicultural tapestry of Singapore. From Hainanese Chicken Rice and Bak Kut Teh to Hokkien Prawn Mee, Nasi Lemak, and Roti Prata, each dish carries its own legacy of cultural heritage.
Join us as we delve into the rich traditions and diverse influences embodied in Singapore hawker centres, which are recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. The workshop will also feature a live Popiah-making demonstration and also Popiah tasting. It will be an engaging and flavourful experience for all participants.
Please note that the workshop will be conducted in Chinese. Admission is free, but places are limited, so do register asap! All are welcome!
