On 19 July, Ms Linda Lee (Principal), Mr Raymond Mak (Assistant Principal) and Ms Esther Zhang (Head of Admissions & Student Services) arrived at Wuxi, China and were hosted to a warm welcome dinner by the members of Wuxi Big Bridge Academy, including Ms Chen Qian (Party Committee Secretary), Ms Jiang Ying (Principal of Middle School), Ms Ding Jianhong (Principal of Primary School) and Ms Ma Liyun (HOD of Middle School).

The HCIS personnel visited Big Bridge Academy’s Linghu campus together with Mr Vincent Kho (Chairman of SMC & Vice Chairman of BHCIS). They were greeted by Vice-Principal Ms Cao Lanlan who led them on a comprehensive tour of the school campus. The visitors were given a good overview of the school’s history and founding principles. Ms Cao also emphasized how the school, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is committed to providing a well-rounded education that nurtures academic excellence and fosters character development.

Meanwhile, a total of 11 candidates from Big Bride Academy sat for the HCIS scholarship assessments and interviews at Wuxi Waiqiao Training Centre in Liangxi. An information session for parents was also organised.

An appreciation dinner was hosted by Mr Kho in the evening, during which meaningful gifts were exchanged. This was followed by a firm handshake between Ms Chen and Mr Kho, which marked the beginning of an exciting journey and long-term partnership.

During this visit, the leadership and staff of both institutions exchanged valuable ideas and engaged in constructive discussions. The shared vision and dedication to educational excellence will definitely pave the way for more collaboration opportunities in the future.
