Ms Linda Lee gave a comprehensive introduction of HCIS and its unique integrated curriculum as well as the scholarship opportunities offered to international students. Online seminars were also conducted to share with the Japanese parents the HCIS experience that focuses not only on academic outcomes but also the value add that nurtures the holistic development of students.

The trip offered fresh insights into the diversity of the educational landscape in Japan. Toho Junior and Senior High School is a top private school in Japan offering the Japanese school curriculum. Hiroo Gakuen Junior and Senior High School, also a private school, offers the AP program in their International Education department. Tokyo Gakugei University International Secondary School, a national school, is an authorized IB MYP and DP school with about 40% of its student population being returnees and foreigners.

The HCIS team also explored opportunities of collaboration with these Japanese institutions in terms of student immersion and staff exchange programmes.

All in all, the trip proved to be a very fruitful one, with future collaborative partnerships on the cards.
