From 15 to 21 July 2024, Principal Linda Lee, Deputy Director Mike Lam and Head of Admissions Esther Zhang visited our partner school Wuxi Big Bridge Academy in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China.
We conducted the annual scholarship exercise for shortlisted applicants. Written tests, interviews and dialogues with parents and an information session were carried out over two days. Parents had better understanding of HCIS and the IB Diploma Programme.
HCIS continued our partnership with Big Bridge Academy to offer scholarships to their brillant students, even during the covid pandemic years. The relationship between the two schools was planted by Mr Tooh Fee San. It is the trust and close bond between the two schools that have made this possible.
Mr Vincent Kho, Chairman of HCIS School Management Committee, took time off to join us in hosting Big Bridge Academy. Relationship was further strengthened.
Next stop was Nanjing. A total of 95 students signed up for the admission tests. Being the first on-site assessment administered in China, it was a huge turn-out. Parents were invited to an information session. Thanks to Sino-Sg for the good logistics and planning!
Indeed this trip was fruitful and a success. We are thankful for the opportunities, and look forward to good outcomes!
