Central Asia, often called the “Heart of Eurasia,” is a region rich in history, culture, and natural wonders. The five countries — Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan — have been shaped by nomadic steppe cultures, powerful empires, and the bustling trade routes of the Silk Road. From majestic cities like Samarkand and Bukhara to the nomads’ yurts on the mountain steppes, Central Asia offers a fascinating blend of history, traditions, and modern culture.
This workshop will feature an engaging talk on the history, culture, and attractions of Central Asia, followed by interactive booths where visitors can experience each country through hands-on activities. Participants can try traditional crafts, learn about nomadic life, explore Silk Road trade and discover the customs of the region.
Come step into the Silk Road, explore the rich tapestry of Central Asian civilizations, and experience a cultural journey unlike any other!
This workshop will be conducted in English, and places are limited! All are welcome, and admission is free!
